Well guys, again today, here is another article about internet and its activity. You know deer, it is an age of internet and if we further zoom in this era then I should say it is an era of social media. Rather, by going on, Facebook has revolutionized everyone by penetrating in real lives of mankind. So I decided, why should not I advise you something good about Great Facebook? Hence, here is a list of 14 Helpful tips for Facebook users to pick maximum from it.

Now sign out remotely from Facebook

Facebook has now become a precious mineral like gold, no one want to be hacked or misused. I am pretty much sure that many of you would be aware with the fear of being login at some other computer (remote place). So ultimately people did not used to sign in at remote areas because they have a fear that “they will forget to sign out from their FB and after their departure someone may misuse my Facebook”.

But don’t worry, as today I am going to tell you a simple control (tip) which you may use to sign out from Facebook remotely. As you can see the picture below; someone is going to end activity (sign out) “Facebook on iPhone” and “Facebook on messenger” from mobile. Basically Facebook keep following all the places where you are signed in. So you can use this mechanism to sign out remotely. First go to the downward arrow on the top right of the screen then-> Settings -> Security -> 'Where You're Logged In' you can sign out by pressing ‘end activity’ on any session you want to control remotely.

Limit Your Past on Timeline

I guess it have been now 10 long years when Facebook took its birth under the motherhood of Zuckerberg (Fun!).  During this era many people have posted a lot and lot stuff but beauty of Facebook is that ‘They have not lost even any single byte; one may see even 10 year older post on one’s timeline ’. I guess i even don’t know what I have posted 4 years back but my timeline do so. So if you are feared about your past and want “no one should track me as per my past but only my friends should”. Then here is a tip by infotainment, remembers it, follow it as per instructions below and refer from picture. To do this, please go to the downward arrow on the top right corner of the window -> Settings -> Privacy -> 'Limit Past Posts Limit the audience for posts you've shared with friends of friends or Public?'

Turn Off “Read Receipts” in your chat box

You see usually in your chat box “Seen June 11” just after the message you have send to your friend. This flag “Seen XX YY” (see in image) means the receiver has read your kind message. In other words it is a delivery report of message or it is Read receipt in chat by Facebook. At the same time, when you want to keep aware yourself with read receipt, often you don’t want for others that they receive this Read receipt when you read their messages as it is awkward. I know a story of one of mine friend, he had a girlfriend. Once he had a huff on her but she want him back normal on every cost. So she was sending messages on his FB gradually, my friend was not picking her phone call. Funny thing was, he wanted to read her messages but did not want a read receipt in girlfriends chat box. He contacted me to solve his issue. Here comes this little solved which solved issue. AdBlock, which is a web browser’s extension designed to block web advertisements. Fortune thing is it can be utilized to block your friends from seeing when you've read their messages too.

First of all make a search on Google ‘AdBlock Plus’ and install this extension to your pre-installed web browser (FireFox or Chrome). Now click the extension -> Options ->Customize->'Manually Edit Your Filters' and then paste "facebook.com/ajax/mercury/change_read_status.php$xmlhttprequest" in one line. Press save and yes you have achieved your goal.

“Mute Conversation” on Facebook Chat

            Last year Facebook launched its new feature ‘group chat’. People used it and like it as it was a cheap fun all around there. But you might have been observed that ‘group chat’ become awkward when notifications of new messages pinged like rain drops and it boggle your mind.

If you don't want to leave the conversation, but want to stay away these irritating notifications then you can mute it instead. So do it by clicking the cog wheel on top in the message box and ‘Mute Conversation’, as it is shown in image below.

I don’t want to share all with friends

You would be surprised, as Facebook has a tremendous control and flexibility for users that

instead of sharing stuff with all publically, you have a control that a specific people can only see your posts. You can select which specific people you do and don't want to view your post. When you're typing a post, click 'Friends' below in text box (or 'Public' depending on your default setting) -> More Options -> "Custom". Refer that above picture.

Tip to make Facebook more secure

Some people are always very much conscious about security of their life on Facebook. They feel worry because usually password gone hacked and their Facebook life too. So what should we so to be safer and secure so that no one can thieve our privacy? I am here with a simple solution; you can do it by making simple settings in your Facebook interface. Do it enabling "2-factor authentication", it is a feature by Facebook Inc in which you need your password plus a randomly generated code, usually text to your mobile, to take access of your Facebook account. So whenever you or someone else (to cheat or dodge) will enter a password in your account to access it, you will receive a message by Facebook Inc which includes a unique code. You can use that code make further access or may prohibit it. In fact simply to do so, go to the downward arrow on the top right of the screen -> Settings -> Security -> 'Login Approvals'.

Tip to control embarrassing happenings on your timeline

For me, at least, there is nothing embarrassing more than this act that ‘someone other (Friend or Friend of Friend) is posting improper messages on your timeline or someone is just tagging you wildly and irrelevantly in its photos or videos’. But, be happy, now this irritating story of posting irrelevant stuff on some other’s timeline is going to end as Facebook has given a control to individual user. What is this control? You have to some simple clicks in interface of FB and you can allow your friends or you may ban them to post on your timeline. Similarly you can see what people post on your timeline, and that you can pre-approve any tagged images before they appear on your profile. To do so go to -> Settings -> Timeline and Tagging -> 'Who can add things to my timeline?' and 'Who can see things on my timeline?

Clean up your Facebook with ‘SociallyClean’

Well in last tip I was telling to stop irrelevant stuff on your time line as it embarrasses you. In this tip I am going to introduce you an app which is a very much helpful tool to keep clean and safe your timeline. Let me make it easy for you. offline or online. We sign a life insurance policy for the backup of our generations, similar case is with business. So why don’t we think seriously about backup of our Facebook life? I am sure if you are reading this post then you might be well aware with the trends of social

media (especially Facebook) and ‘Other Messages’ in FB too. But I am telling it to explore it as a precious thing, especially for them who did not know about it. I know once other messages were a giant head ache for users but now developers of Facebook have made it friendly and fewer weasels. The 'Other' box is where messages come from the people who are not in your friend list and end up if Facebook decides they aren't really relevant to you. Good thing is that 99.9% it's spot-on. I am telling you to check it on regular basis so that you probably may not end up something important in this box, as I want you to drive maximum from Facebook. Control your visibility when you are online on Facebook

As you know Facebook is enriched with different unique and amazing socialized features; that’s why it has picked the title of #1 social media on globe.
